
Our guest speaker is a local business owner who sustainably farms and harvests red abalone right under the Monterey Harbor Municipal Wharf No. 2. Trevor Fay from Monterey Abalone Company, will treat us to a lecture on how to commercially grow abalone in Monterey using natural foods and methods. Their operating philosophy is to duplicate, as closely as possible, the abalones’ natural environment of growth in the ocean so that they arrive at the table as natural seafood of the highest quality. He will also discuss recent environmental impacts on abalone including the recent surge of urchins.
The meeting will be held on January 30th from 6-8 pm at the Crazy Horse Restaurant, located at 1425 Munras Avenue.
